I first started off by drawing contour lines with the lightest oil pastel as I measured the proportions. Then I went in with my dark, medium, and light oil pastels to show the shadows and light areas. I'm happy with the contrast and use of colors, however, I do wish that I would have used another color for the skirt to make it more interesting and obvious that it is a skirt. I also wish I would have used another creative surface as I think another creative surface would have been better for this work.
