Polygon Reflection

1. The common properties of polygons are to have 3 or more sides, no curves, straight lines, closed, no intersection, angle, 2d, same number of angles and vertices. On the right side, it's polygon because they all have more than 3 sides, there is no curves or intersecting lines. On the left it is because one of them intersects, one isn't closed, and one has curves.

2. The measure of degrees in an angle tells me that the angle is straight, acute, obtuse, reflex, and right. This is helpful because you can quickly estimate your angle.

3. Some of the common angles are 30˚, 60˚, 45˚, 90˚ these degrees are helpful if you memorize because when you are doing a question it would most likely be this angle or close.

4. Some strategies to estimate angle measures are to draw a 90˚ line on the angle then see the how much space is left and guess what that is and then add that number to 90˚.

5. To find accurate measurements with a protractor, put the protractor's zero line on the terminal side then follow the line leading to the number. Since you can use the protractor on 2 sides if it's over 90˚ use the one that is greater than 90˚ if it's less use the one that is less than 90˚.

6. Write a set of directions that would satisfy two different triangles.
First draw a 1 inch long base. Then draw a 70˚for each side. The two side will be equal and the bottom will not which mean it is Isosceles because only two are equal and a Acute triangle because all angles are less than 90˚.
